Vodkanauts
Imagine a twilight world of sonic make believe where Dean Martin and Neil Diamond share equal billing with Danny Gatton and Hank Marvin, where reverb-drenched surf freakouts segue into a small jazzy combo playing a Vegas nightspot frequented by The In Crowd and where roadhouse-rockin' twangfests coexist with tranquil atmospheric meditations. It is in this musical parallel universe that surf/lounge/rock 'n' roll combo the Vodkanauts work their magic, simultaneously paying respectful tribute to musical masters while creating a soundtrack to a mid-to-late 20th century America that never quite was ... but should have been. Equally at home on a festival stage before a crowd of thousands or in an intimate nightclub setting, The Vodkanauts excel at performing time-tested tunes with inventive arrangements, delivered with a heightened level of showmanship and crowd-pleasing energy.
The Hip Abduction
The bands major focus pools from Zimbabwean, Malian, and Caribbean rhythms. However, the lyrics and content remain distinctly North American at heart. A little Paul Simon, Zimbabwe's Oliver Mtukudzi, and roots reggae have most definitely played a role in shaping the sound of this band." Singer/songwriter David New keeps the theme moving from his years spent traveling South America. Depending on the venue, up to 8 members can be on stage during a Hip Abduction event, each following a world, rock, soul, afro-beat, and reggae theme. Heavy emphasis is placed on the dub-reggae-inspired bass lines of Chris Powers and the unique drumming technique of Pat Hernly who uses a multi-percussion setup including congas, timbales, hand kick, tabla, dholak, and cajon. Tight drumming coupled with a strong melodic groove structure is at the core of each tune. THA draws on the stories of acoustic driven blues, overlays jazz/funk style instrumental melodies, and crafts high-energy festival style free improvisation. As a whole, The Hip Abduction members have played and resided in the Caribbean, Micronesia, Ecuador, India, NYC, and DC.

Dj Shorte
Erik Mishiyev better known as Short-e is a popular DJ, TV Host, Artist and Actor but evolving is what he does best! Aside from rockin’ all the HotSpots, Short-e has launched “The Short-e Show”, a self-produced TV show which he also hosts. National stars & celebrities embraced & endorsed the program when Short-e approached them for an interview during his club gigs and parties. This was just the beginning of the success of the program. YouTube took notice of his videos and offered him a partner content deal which allows The Short-e Show to grow faster online “organically” while gaining revenue from advertisers and Google partners. Currently, Short-e has accumulated over 10 million video views and is listed on YouTube under “shows”.
In 2010, Short-e’s popularity hit an all-time high after he hosted Diddy’s Super Bowl party at Dolce Nightclub in South Beach. Since then, Short-e has continued to make guest appearances at some of the biggest and best clubs in the NY & FL markets while capitalizing on his TV show and popularity.
Short-e has also performed over seas in South Africa where he mixed at multiple venues in multiple cities while he was on tour there.
In January 2011, Short-e was named co-host of “Miami Music Television” a program which airs weekly on ABC in the greater South Florida market. Since then, the show has expanded and is now syndicated in Seattle, Dallas, Houston, New York, Jamaica, Bahamas and even Haiti.
Short-e’s latest completed project has stunned the industry with the release of his debut single music video titled “Hot4Eva” which displays his mufti-dimensional abilities as a DJ/Artist. He plans to drop his next single “Energy Movement” in 2012.
